Book this tour Gift VoucherWhether you’re a beer lover or a wine enthusiast, this tour lets you pick your passion at each stop. Starting at 3:00pm, it’s the perfect way to enjoy a lively afternoon before heading off to your evening plans, whether you’re a local or just arriving in town. This tour it’s timing is so on point, even we’re impressed!
Your Altitude Tours guide will meet you and your small group at a central Queenstown location, from there, it’s off to the stunning Gibbston wine region, known for its incredible wines and, more recently, the local craft beer scene.
Location One – GT Tasting
Our first stop is the GT Tasting Room at the historic Gibbston Tavern. Here, you can sample either local wine or craft beer — both options are spectacular. The wine is locally grown and produced, as well as the beer coming from a small brewery just down the road. This spot is a great introduction to the flavours of the Gibbston region, whether you’re sipping a crisp wine or a refreshing local beer.
Location Two – Kinross
Next, we’ll head to Kinross Cellar Door, where things start to get really fun (and flavourful). If you’re here for beer, you’ll love the selection from a local small-batch brewery. For wine lovers, Kinross represents five boutique wineries, offering a selection of some of the best Pinot Noirs in the world. At this stop everyone the Kinross team will also deliver to the antipasto platters for all to share.
Location Three: Altitude Brewing
Altitude Brewing is a laid-back craft brewery and taproom located at Frankton Marina in Queenstown, right on the shores of Lake Wakatipu with views of the Remarkables. Founded in 2013 by local brewer Eliott Menzies, it’s known for approachable, flavour-driven beers like the Mischievous Kea IPA and for supporting local charities through every sale. The red-shed taproom offers 12 rotating taps, food trucks, and a relaxed, community-minded vibe that has made Altitude a favourite stop for both locals and visitors exploring Queenstown’s growing craft-beer scene.
