Wine Sampler Tour – 5 Hour Wine Tour From Queenstown

The 5 hour Queenstown wine tour departs daily at 10am and returns around 3/3.30pm (pick ups from Arrowtown available on request). This is a classic and fun wine tour visiting four of Central Otago’s finest and off the beaten track cellar doors, including a visit to New Zealand’s famous Gibbston Valley underground wine cave. Sample over 18 spectacular cool-climate wines and enjoy an optional scrumptious lunch (additional cost ordered on the day) whilst your charismatic guide and knowledgeable cellar staff educate and amuse you with local wine making facts and stories. Travel in style with transfers in a luxury Mercedes van, enjoy learning how to taste wine through on-board videos and make use of our complimentary WiFi and bottled water.

Whether you are an adventure junkie wanting to recharge your batteries after endless days of play, an avid sightseer hunting more jaw-dropping views, or a wine enthusiast eager to taste some world class New Zealand wines, a Queenstown wine tour with Altitude is a must.

For a more condensed wine (and craft beer) tour check out our late-afternoon daily departure Twilight Wine and Craft Beer Tour, or if you’d prefer a tailor made group or private tour please contact us.

Situated east of Queenstown along the spectacular Kawarau Gorge, Gibbston hasn’t looked back since the first commercial bottling in 1987. The highest sub-region, it’s cooler climate and north-facing hillside vines ripen later than neighbouring sub-regions, giving lighter though still intense wines.
